First Impression of MLV App
I was going on my usual YouTube binge-watching when a video on MLV App popped up in my recommendations. The MLVFS-After Effects workflow which I have been using to process my raw files is quite time-consuming, so I am open to alternative methods as long as the output is good.

Comparison of output. L-R: MLV app with log profile, MLVFS-After Effects with log profile, MLV app with no profile applied and colours that assault the senses
With pixel-peeping, I can tell that the frame from MLVFS-After Effects is sharper, but I guess I can match it by bumping up the sharpen slider in MLV App. I think the MLV App is worth trying as it has an acceptable processing time and does not make my Macbook whine that it is overheating and running out of memory space.
