Gasteria carinata var. verrucosa | Gardening Diary
Also known as 'ox tongue', this Gasteria succulent is a close relative of Aloe and Haworthia species. I was attracted to the little warts on its leaves when I first saw it in Cold Storage.

Gasteria verrucosa originated from South Africa and is a winter-grower. It is able to tolerate low light and drought conditions. Due to this, I underwatered the Gasteria succulent initially and the plant shrivelled. Luckily, I was able to revive it and it is putting out new growth. I read that Gasteria succulents reproduce by producing pups and I hope to see baby succulents soon.
