Super Blue Blood Moon 2018
The super blue blood moon event on 31 January 2018 was eagerly anticipated by both astronomy-fanatics and the public. In Singapore, it started at approximately 7.45pm and ended at 10.30pm. In the early evening, the weather was not favourable with clouds and slight drizzle. I almost decided to give this event a miss, but the clouds cleared up in the West just in time. I watched the progress of the blood moon through the night sky for the entire event from Tanjong Hall's sky garden.
The gorgeous blood moon. It was significantly darker than the normal phases of the moon and I was pushing ISO 6400 even on a tripod.
