Trying out the Zhiyun Crane 2 | My YouTube channel is up!
I wanted to explore videography since around 2 years ago, but I kept staying in my comfort zone i.e. photography. Some time back, I purchased a Camtree Wonder-3 video stabiliser to try to produce smooth cinematic shots, but that pile of metal is simply frustrating. It was impossible to balance and I ended up breaking one of the screws. However, it made me realise how weak my arm is, and that I cannot use video stabilisers like the Glidecam.
Hence, I decided to go for gimbals, but these devices are expensive. As mentioned in my previous post, I finally purchased a Zhiyun Crane 2 a few days ago. I was not going to let the $883 down and let the Zhiyun Crane 2 accumulate dust in my cupboard. Thus, I headed to Jurong Eco-Garden today to try my hand at videography again. The Crane 2 was fun to use, although I still found it heavy to handle. I paired it with my Canon 650d and 17 - 55mm lens.
Here is my first video! It is uploaded on my old "Strike off the bucket list" channel. YouTube updated its rules and I am not able to change my YouTube URL for the time being.
I am thinking of doing a review of the Zhiyun Crane 2 on this channel as well. I will have to get more acquainted with it first!
